About the Journal

Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) adalah jurnal ilmiah yang mempublikasikan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM), pemberdayaan, dan pengembangan kesehatan masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh akademisi, praktisi, tenaga kesehatan, serta lembaga masyarakat.

Jurnal ini berfungsi sebagai wadah publikasi ilmiah yang memfokuskan pada implementasi ilmu kesehatan dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat, melalui intervensi, edukasi, pelayanan, teknologi tepat guna, dan inovasi berbasis kebutuhan komunitas.

Journal of Community Health Development menerbitkan artikel orisinal dalam bentuk laporan pengabdian, implementasi program, evaluasi kegiatan kesehatan masyarakat, serta model pemberdayaan yang berdampak pada peningkatan kesejahteraan dan perilaku hidup sehat.

Jurnal ini terbit 2 kali setahun (Juni dan Desember) dengan proses peer-review yang ketat untuk memastikan kualitas karya ilmiah yang dipublikasikan.

Focus and Scope

Jurnal ini memuat artikel yang mengangkat kegiatan PkM dalam bidang:

1. Promosi Kesehatan & Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS)

  • Edukasi kesehatan ibu dan anak

  • Pencegahan penyakit menular & tidak menular

  • Pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui kampanye kesehatan

2. Kesehatan Ibu, Anak, dan Remaja

  • Edukasi kehamilan & persalinan

  • Gizi balita, stunting, dan 1000 HPK

  • Kesehatan reproduksi remaja

3. Kesehatan Lingkungan

  • Sanitasi, air bersih, limbah rumah tangga

  • Penilaian risiko lingkungan

  • Program desa sehat dan ramah lingkungan

4. Layanan Kesehatan Masyarakat

  • Screening kesehatan

  • Pemeriksaan dasar: tensi, gula darah, IMT, dan lainnya

  • Pelayanan berbasis komunitas

5. Pemberdayaan Komunitas (Community Empowerment)

  • Pelatihan kader kesehatan

  • Program berbasis posyandu, puskesmas, dan desa

  • Penguatan kapasitas masyarakat

6. Teknologi Tepat Guna Bidang Kesehatan

  • Media edukasi kesehatan

  • Aplikasi atau alat sederhana untuk edukasi masyarakat

  • Inovasi praktik kesehatan di komunitas

7. Penyuluhan & Pendampingan Masyarakat

  • Pendampingan keluarga berisiko tinggi

Jurnal ini terbuka untuk kontribusi dari akademisi, peneliti, praktisi kesehatan, dan mahasiswa di bidang terkait.

Peer Review Process

Setiap artikel yang dikirimkan ke Journal of Community Health Development akan melalui proses seleksi awal oleh editor untuk menilai kesesuaian dengan fokus dan ruang lingkup jurnal, serta kepatuhan terhadap pedoman penulisan.
Naskah yang lolos seleksi awal akan dikirimkan kepada dua reviewer independen menggunakan sistem double-blind review, di mana identitas penulis dan reviewer saling dirahasiakan.

Reviewer akan menilai aspek orisinalitas, metodologi, kontribusi ilmiah, kejelasan penyajian, serta relevansi hasil penelitian.
Keputusan akhir publikasi ditetapkan oleh dewan editor berdasarkan hasil review dan revisi dari penulis.

Publication Frequency

Journal of Community Health Development diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu pada:

  • Juni (Edisi 1)

  • Desember (Edisi 2)

Open Access Policy

Jurnal ini menerapkan kebijakan akses terbuka penuh (open access) di mana seluruh artikel dapat dibaca, diunduh, dan dibagikan secara gratis dengan tetap mencantumkan sumber dan hak cipta penulis.
Kebijakan ini mendukung prinsip bahwa hasil penelitian harus tersedia secara bebas bagi publik untuk mempercepat kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat.

Archiving

This journal utilizes LOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity. Rigorous, double-blind peer review processes are followed, emphasizing the promotion of ethical and scientific excellence in all published articles. The journal will adhere to COPE guidelines when addressing possible instances of misconduct. A selection of key points is included below:

Duties of Publisher

  1. The publisher of Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) is responsible for publishing manuscripts that have gone through the editing, review and layout process in accordance with the publishing rules of Scientific Journals.
  2. The publisher of Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for the editors and editorial member in carrying out their respective duties.
  3. The publisher of Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) is responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, and editorial freedom.

Duties of Editor

  1. Editor of Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are suitable for publication through editorial board meetings which refer to applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism.
  2. In the process of reviewing and accepting manuscripts, the editorial team of Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) is based on the principle of equal treatment in making decisions to publish manuscripts without distinguishing between the race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality or political ideology of the author.
  3. Editor and editorial team of Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) will not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts or manuscripts unless with permission from the author.
  4. Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by research editors of Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) for their own purposes and will be returned directly to the author.

Duties of Mitra Bestari

  1. Mitra Bestari Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) assists editors in making editorial decisions on incoming manuscripts/manuscripts.
  2. Mitra Bestari Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) is responsible for the recommendations for the manuscripts it reviews.
  3. The review of the manuscript is carried out objectively, and is supported by clear arguments.
  4. Mitra Bestari Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) is responsible for quotations, references, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism for the manuscripts it reviews.
  5. Mitra Bestari Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) must always maintain the confidentiality of information and not use information from the manuscripts it reviews for personal gain/interest.

 Duties of Authors

  1. Authors must present manuscripts resulting from their thoughts or research clearly, honestly, and without duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism.
  2. Author is responsible for the confirmation submitted for the manuscript that has been written.
  3. Author must indicate references to the opinions and works of other people cited.
  4. Authors must write manuscripts ethically, honestly and responsibly, in accordance with applicable scientific writing regulations.
  5. Author does not mind if the manuscript undergoes editing during the review and layout process without changing the substance or main idea of the writing.

Plagiarism Check

Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) does not accept any plagiarism in the submitted manuscripts. The editors of Namira Health Community Journal (NHCJ) will screen all submitted manuscripts for plagiarism using the Turnitin plagiarism checker. Plagiarism checks will be performed at least twice: once immediately after the manuscript is submitted to the journal, and again after the final proofreading before publication. Authors are expected to ensure minimal similarities; however, similarities exceeding 20% will not be tolerated. Any manuscript failing to meet this requirement will be returned to the corresponding author for correction.

Copyright Transfer Agreement

Authors who publish manuscripts in the Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) agree to the following conditions:

  1. Copyright in each manuscript belongs to the author.
  2. The author acknowledges that Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) has the right to be the first to publish with a license Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license.
  3. Authors can submit articles separately, arrange non-exclusive distribution of manuscripts that have been published in this journal into other versions by acknowledging that the manuscript has been first published in the Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD).
  4. Click Copyright Transfer Agreement

Article Processing Charge

Article processing charge for publication in Journal of Community Health Development (JCHD) is IDR 200,000. Payment is due after the manuscript is accepted for publication in the journal. The journal does not require any submission charge.
