Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement
Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity. Rigorous, double-blind peer review processes are followed, emphasizing the promotion of ethical and scientific excellence in all published articles. The journal will adhere to COPE guidelines when addressing possible instances of misconduct. A selection of key points is included below:
Duties of Publisher
- The publisher of Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) is responsible for publishing manuscripts that have gone through the editing, review and layout process in accordance with the publishing rules of Scientific Journals.
- The publisher of Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for the editors and editorial member in carrying out their respective duties.
- The publisher of Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) is responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, and editorial freedom.
Duties of Editor
- Editor of Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are suitable for publication through editorial board meetings which refer to applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism.
- In the process of reviewing and accepting manuscripts, the editorial team of Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) is based on the principle of equal treatment in making decisions to publish manuscripts without distinguishing between the race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality or political ideology of the author.
- Editor and editorial team of Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) will not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts or manuscripts unless with permission from the author.
- Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by research editors of Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) for their own purposes and will be returned directly to the author.
Duties of Mitra Bestari
- Mitra Bestari Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) assists editors in making editorial decisions on incoming manuscripts/manuscripts.
- Mitra Bestari Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) is responsible for the recommendations for the manuscripts it reviews.
- The review of the manuscript is carried out objectively, and is supported by clear arguments.
- Mitra Bestari Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) is responsible for quotations, references, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism for the manuscripts it reviews.
- Mitra Bestari Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) must always maintain the confidentiality of information and not use information from the manuscripts it reviews for personal gain/interest.
Duties of Authors
- Authors must present manuscripts resulting from their thoughts or research clearly, honestly, and without duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism.
- Author is responsible for the confirmation submitted for the manuscript that has been written.
- Author must indicate references to the opinions and works of other people cited.
- Authors must write manuscripts ethically, honestly and responsibly, in accordance with applicable scientific writing regulations.
- Author does not mind if the manuscript undergoes editing during the review and layout process without changing the substance or main idea of the writing.
Plagiarism Check
Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) does not accept any plagiarism in the submitted manuscripts. The editors of Journal of Midwifery Namira (JMN) will screen all submitted manuscripts for plagiarism using the Turnitin plagiarism checker. Plagiarism checks will be performed at least twice: once immediately after the manuscript is submitted to the journal, and again after the final proofreading before publication. Authors are expected to ensure minimal similarities; however, similarities exceeding 20% will not be tolerated. Any manuscript failing to meet this requirement will be returned to the corresponding author for correction.
