Abstract

Promotive and preventive efforts are essential strategies for improving public health and reducing the
incidence of diseases. One practical approach is the integration of health education with free health
screening programs to promote early detection of disease risk factors. This activity aimed to optimize public
knowledge, awareness, and healthy behaviors while improving access to basic health services. The methods
included interactive health education on healthy lifestyles, non-communicable disease prevention, the
importance of regular health check-ups, and free health screenings consisting of blood pressure
measurement, blood glucose testing, body mass index assessment, and health consultation. The results
demonstrated an improvement in community knowledge regarding healthy living behaviors and increased
awareness of the importance of regular health examinations. Furthermore, the free health screening
successfully identified individuals at risk of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and obesity, enabling early
education and referral to appropriate healthcare services. Therefore, integrating health education with
free health screening is an effective strategy to optimize promotive and preventive health efforts and
improve community health outcomes. Similar programs are recommended to be implemented sustainably
through collaboration among healthcare professionals, government institutions, and the community.
